Alchemy

What’s up dear readers? If you’re on the lookout for the fastest and most inexpensive way of leveling your Alchemy from 1-450, look no further.  Listed below are the materials and vials required for the targeted potions and/or elixirs. Please note that the information is presented on the assumption that each crafted potion will net you one skill point, which is rarely the case especially at higher levels, therefore be prepared to spend just a little more on mats.

Leveling Alchemy is a costly activity, therefore I highly recommend you combine this with Herbalism, whereby you use the Herbs gathered to create the Potions required to advance your Alchemy. Gathering your own Herbs however is a time-consuming activity and to save time it is highly advisable that you turn to the Auction House in your quest to assemble the remaining materials.

In the alternative,

310 – 325

Upon reaching an Alchemy skill of 325 and level 68, you may begin a quest that allows you to learn one of the three specializations – Potions, Elixirs or Transmutations. Specialization enables you to craft an additional 1-4 items (for a maximum total of 5) in the field of your chosen expertise, for the price of just ONE.  If you choose to specialize in Elixirs or Potions, you will need to run some instances which can be quite troublesome and inefficient.

To cut down on time, here’s a little tip for ya. Choose the path of Transmute Master. Farm the mats for 4 Primal Might or you may choose to buy them straight off the AH if you have sufficient funds. Talk to the Transmute Master in Netherstorm to become a Transmuter. Unlearn your specialization by talking to the master again, then talk to the Potion or Elixir Master depending on the path you choose. Of course if you chose to be a Transmute Master you may skip this part altogether. A word of warning though, it will set you back a costly 150 G everytime you wish to unlearn your specialization.

After choosing your specialization…

335-340

340-350

Head to Northrend to learn Alchemy Grand Master

You might need to make more than 20 of these as the recipe turns green at the 422 mark.

425-430

To achieve this, you can make any flask you want for PvP or raiding purposes. You may also make Transmute: Skyflare Diamond if you have the recipe from 435-440.
