The WoW Authority’s Horde Leveling Guide: Blood Elf Starting Area (Level 1 to 12)

Throughout the early levels in Eversong Woods, you should stop at Level 5, 7, 10, and 12 and purchase any skills you need. Additionally, repair your gear as often as possible, preferably every time you return to town. Even if it doesn’t seem like you will need to, it can be a big help if you face a long dungeon or tough foe and lose your sword. At this level, you won’t have any spares lying around. Finally, make sure every time you return to town you have enough food and water to keep you alive (except for Mages) until you return. Two stacks should be sufficient.

When you start, you will be on Sunstrider Isle, located just northwest of the main zone in this area. You should not switch to the larger area until you hit Level 6.

1. Talk Magistrix Erona (38,21)

Accept “Reclaiming Sunstrider Isle”
Kill 8 Mana Wyrms nearby
Turn in “Reclaimining Sunstrider Isle” and accept “Unfortunate Measures”
Accept your class letter. Complete this first.

2. Talk to Well Watcher Solanian (39,19)

Accept “Solanian’s Belongings” and “The Shrine of Dath’Remar”

3. Talk to Arcanist Ithasis and Arcanist Helion (38,19)

Accept “A Fistful of Slivers” and “Thirst Unending”

4. Return to and kill Mana Wyrms – loot 6 Arcane Slivers (36,20)

Use Mana Tap 6 Times on Mana Wyrms
Kill Springpaw Lynxes and Cubs – loot 8 Collars (34,22)

5. Find Solanian’s Belongings

Journal (38,25)
Scrying Orb (35,29)
Scroll of Scourge Magic (31,23)

You should be Level 4 when you complete this quest. Grind until you hit Level 4 if you are not there yet.

6. Travel to Dath’Remar and read the plaque (30,19)

7. Return and talk to Well Watcher Solanian, Arcanist Ithanas, Arcanist Helion, and Magistrix Erona near (38,19)

Turn in “Solanian’s Belongings” and “The Shrine of Dath’Remar”
Turn in “A Fistful of Slivers”
Turn in “Thirst Unending”
Turn in “Unfortunate Measures”
Accept “Report to Lanthan Perilon”

Accept “Aggression”
Kill 7 Tenders and 7 Feral Tenders nearby
Turn in “Aggression” and accept “Felendren the Banished”

9. Go to the Faltherien Academy (32,26)

Kill 8 Arcane Wraiths and 2 Tainted Arcane Wraiths
Kill Felendren the Banished – loot his head

You should now be Level 6. If you are not quite there yet, grind a little before continuing.

10. Talk to Lanthan Perilon (35,23)

Turn in “Feldendren the Banished”
Accept “Aiding the Outrunners”

11. Talk to Outrunner Alarian (40,32)

Turn in “Aiding our Outrunners” and accept “Slain by the Wretched”
Find the Slain Outrunner (42,36) – turn in “Slain by the Wretched” – accept “Package Recovery”
Return to Outrunner Alarian and turn in “Package Recovery” – accept “Completing the Delivery”

12. In Falconwing Square, talk to Innkeeper Delaniel (48,48)

Turn in “Completing the Delivery”
Make Falconwing Square your home

13. Accept “Wanted: Thaelis the Hungerer” from the Wanted Poster (48,46)

14. Talk to Magister Jaronis (47,46)

Accept “Major Malfunction”

16. Near the path to Falconwing Square, kill Arcane Patrollers – loot 6 cores (46,44)

35. Kill Springpaws and loot 6 Pelts (38,72)

36. In Saltheril’s Haven, talk to Lord Saltheril (44,71)

37. Travel to the Murloc Camps at the shore and kill the Grimscale Chieftain – loot his ring (25,69)
