The WoW Authority’s Horde Leveling Guide : Level 30 to 35

In the 2.4.2 patch, the level to get your mount was dropped from 40 to 30, so keep in mind that you can now pick up your initial mount at Level 30 if you have the required gold. When you hit level 30, return to your racial capital to buy it and train in the necessary riding skill.

Thousand Needles (Part 2)

1. Talk to Rau Cliffrunner (46,52)

  • Turn in “The Sacred Flame” 2 and accept part 3

2. At the cave northwest of (44,37) find the Ancient Brazier (42,31) and loot the Cloven Hoof

3. Talk to Motega Firemane and Wizzlo Bearingshiner (21,32)

4. Kill Steelsnap and loot his rib (18,28)

5. Loot 10 Incendia Agave near the lake at (34,34)

Thunder Bluff (Part 3)

6. Return to Sun Rock Retreat and go to Thunder Bluff and talk to Magatha Grimtotem (70,31)

  • Turn in “Sacred Fire”
  • Accept “Arikara”

7. Talk to Melor Stonehoof (62,81)

  • Turn in Steelsnap”
  • Accept “Frostmaw”

8. Go to Freewind Post and talk to Rau Cliffrunner (46,52)

  • Turn in “The Sacred Flame” 3

9. Find the path at (31,37) and loot the Document Chests located at (34,40), (32,33), and (39,42) and get the 3 Secret Notes

10. Click on the Sacred Fire of Life and summon Arikara (38,35)

  • Kill Arikara and loot the Serpent Skin
  • You must be Level 30 before doing this with most classes

11. Find and kill the Galak Messenger – loot the Assassination Note and accept “Assassination Plot” (22,31)

12. Return to Thousand Needles and talk to Motega Firemane, Wizlo Bearingshiner, and Kanati Greycloud (21,32)

  • Turn in: “Homeward Bound”
  • “Arikara”
  • “A Different Approach”
  • “Assassination Plot”
  • Accept “Protect Kanati Greycloud”
  • Centaurs will attack Greycloud. Pull the centaurs from him one at a time until they are defeated and the quest is completed.
  • Turn in “Protect Kanati Greycloud”

13. Find the Panther Cage and Open it (23,25)

  • Kill the Enraged Panther – loot the Hypercapacitator Gizmo

14. Talk to Wizlo Bearingshiner (21,32)

  • Turn in “Hypercapacitator Gizmo”

15. At Freewind Post, talk to Thalia Amberhide, Cliffwatcher Longhorn (46,52)

  • Turn in “Free at Last” and “Grimtotem Spying”

16. In the Shimmering Flats find the Mirage Raceway and talk to Wizzle Brassbolts, Fizzle Brassbolts, Kravel Koalbeard, Pozzik, and Trackmaster Zherin (78,77)

17. Gather 30 Rocket Car Parts around the coming areas

18. Kill 10 Saltstone Crystalhides and 6 Salstone Gazers near (8,83)

19. Kill Vultures – loot 10 Hollow Vulture Bones (88,65)

20. Kill Turtles and loot 9 Hardened Tortoise Shells (83,55)

21. Kill 10 Saltstone Basilisks (75,53)

22. Return to the Raceway and talk to Fizzle Brassbolts, Wizzle Brassbolts, Kravel Koalbeard, Pozzik, and Trackmaster Zherin (78,77)

  • Turn in “Salt Flat Venom” and accept “Martek the Exiled”
  • Turn in “Hardened Shells”
  • Turn in “Rocket Car Parts”
  • Turn in “Load Lightening” and accept “Goblin Sponsorship”
  • Turn in “A Bump in the Road”

You should be at Level 33 by this point. If you are not quite there yet, grind on the multiple mobs in the Shimmering Flats.

The Barrens

1. Run to Gadgetzan in Feralas and fly to Ratchet in the Barrens

2. Talk to Gazlowe and Wharfmaster Dizzywig (63,36)

  • Turn in “Goblin Sponsorship” 1 accept “Goblin Sponsorship” Part 2
  • Turn in “Wharfmaster Dizzywig”

1. Boat to Booty Bay

2. Talk to Wharmaster Lozgil, “Sea Wolf” MacKinley, Crank Fizzlebub, Drizzlik, Kebok, Krazek, and Baron Revilgaz (26,74)

3. Run to Grom’gol Base Camp and get the flight path (32,29)

4. Talk to Far Seer Mok’thardin, Commander Aggro’gosh, Nemoth Hawkeye, Nimboya, and Kin’weelay (32,29)

5. Go to the Expedition Camp and talk to Barnil Stonepot, Hemet Nesingway Jr., Ajeck Rouack, and Sir S.J. Erigadin (36,11)

6. Kill 10 Young Stranglethorn Tigers (40,11)

7. Kill 10 Young Panthers (35,12)

8. Talk to Sir S.J. Erigadin and Ajeck Rouack (36,11)

  • Turn in “Panther Mastery” 1 and accept part 2
  • Turn in “Tiger Mastery” 1 and accept part 2

9. Kill 10 Stranglethorn Tigers and 10 Panthers (they will be stealthed) near (30,11)

10. Kill 10 Stranglethorn Raptors (28,15)

11. Talk to Hemet Nesingway Jr., Ajeck Rouack, and Sir S.J. Erigadin (36,11)

  • Turn in “Raptor Mastery” 1 and accept part 2
  • Turn in “Tiger Mastery” 2 and accept part 3
  • Turn in “Panther Mastery” 2 and accept part 3

12. Kill Basilisks and loot 10 Singing Crystals along the ridgeline at (27,19)

13. Find the Bloodscalp Troll Camp at (29,20) and kill trolls – loot:

  • 9 Tusks
  • 25 Bone Necklaces
  • 15 Ears
  • 1 Totem (from Shaman)

14. Kill 10 Elder Stranglethorn Tigers (32,19)

15. Kill 15 Lashtail Raptors (31,18)

16. At Grom’Gol Base, talk to Kin’weelay, Nemeth Hawkeye, Nimboya, and Commander Aggro’gosh (32,29)

  • Turn in “Bloody Bone Necklaces”
  • Turn in “Bloodscalp Insight” and accept “An Unusual Patron”
  • Turn in “Hunt for Yenniku” and accept “Headhunting”
  • Turn in “The Defense of Grom’gol” 1 and accept part 2

17. Kill Bloodscalp Headhunters and loot 20 Shrunken Heads west of the main camp (20,12)

18. Find the stone box at the altar and use the Gift of Naias to summon Naias (20,23)

19. Talk to Hemet Nesingway Jr. and Ajeck Rouack (36,11)

  • Turn in “Raptor Mastery” 2 and accept part 3
  • Turn in “Tiger Mastery” 3 and accept part 4

20. Kill River Crocolisks and loot 2 Large Skins (38,11)

21. Kill 10 Mosh’Ogg Brutes and 5 Mosh’Ogg Witch Doctors (37,29)

22. Travel to the Venture Co. Tower and kill Foreman Cozzle (43,17)

  • Loot his key and go to the small hut near the tower
  • Unlock Cozzle’s Footlocker inside the hut and loot the Fuel Regulator Blueprints
  • Kill Venture Co. Geologists and loot 8 Tumbled Crystals

23. Kill 10 Shadowmaw Panthers and loot 8 Claws (46,22)

  • These mobs are hard to kill as they are all stealthed and among the Tigresses. Kill them slowly and be healed as they can ambush you at any time.

24. Kill Stranglethorn Tigresses and loot a Pristine Tigress Fang

25. Talk to Commander Aggro’gosh, Nemeth Hawkeye, Far Seer Mok’thardin, Kin’weelay, and Nimboya (32,29)

  • Turn in “The Defense of the Grom’gold” 2
  • Turn in “An Unusual Patron”
  • Turn in “Mok’thardin’s Echantment” 1 and accept part 2
  • Turn in “The Vile Reef”
  • Turn in “Headhunting” and accept “Trollbane”

You should be at Level 35 by this point. You may be a little behind if you had easy drops for some rarer quest items or if you have not logged off for some time. Grind to catch up.

26. Return to Booty Bay and talk to Krazek, Baron Revilgaz, Crank Fizzlebub, Kebok, and Drizzlik (27,77)

  • Turn in “Investigating the Camp”
  • Turn in “Goblin Sponsorship” 4 and accept part 5
  • Turn in “Singing Blue Shards”
  • Turn in “Bloodscalp Ears” and “Hostile Takeover”
  • Turn in “Supply and Demand”
