You should be level 15 to take on the next quest. Make sure to grind your level up or find help if you are still behind. At this point, you cannot afford to be behind at all due to the presence of escort quests and higher level bosses in solo play.

The Barrens

1. Back in the Barrens, talk to Makaba Flathoof (35,28)

• a. Turn in “Avenge my Village”
• b. Accept “Kill Grundig Darkclou”

Stonetalon Mountains

1. In Stonetalon Mountains, kill 5 Grimtotem Brutes and Grundig Darkcloud (72,88)

You should now be at Level 17. If you are not, this quest might be a bit complicated to complete. Grind on Grimtotems until you are 17 before you take on Darkcloud.

The Barrens (Part 2)

1. In the Barrens, talk to Makaba Flathoof (35,28)

• Turn in “Kill Grundig Darkcloud”

2. Talk to Thork, Korran, and Apothecary Helbrim (51,31)

• Accept: “Report to Kadrek”
• “Egg Hunt”
• “Apothecary Zamah”

3. Travel south and find Markrik’s Wife’s corpse (49,50)

4. In Camp Taurajo, talk to Tatternack Stellforge and Mangletooth (45,58)

• Accept “Weapons of Choice” and “Tribes at War”
• Get the flight path

Thunderbluff

1. Travel to Thunderbluff (West to Mulgore and North West to Thunderbluff) and talk to Apothecary Zamah (23,21)

• Turn in “Apothecary Zamah”

2. Go to Tal and fly back to Crossroads (47,50)

3. Talk to Mankrik (52,32)

• Turn in “Lost in Battle”

4. Kill Savannah Prowlers and loot 7 Claws (41,24)

5. Kill Witchwing Slayers and loot 6 Harpy Lieutenant Rings (40,17)

6. Kill Raptors and loot 5 Intact Raptor Horns (45,12)

7. Go Northeast to the Control Console and click it (52,12)

• Turn in “Samophlange” 1 and accept part 2
• Shut off the Main Control Valve, Regulator Control Valve, and Fuel Control Valve
• Return to Control Console and turn in “Samophlange” 2 and accept part 3

8. Kill Tinkerer Sniggles and loot the console key (53,10)

• Click the console and turn in “Samophlange” 3 and accept part 4.

9. Travel to Wizzlecrank’s Shredder (57,7)

• Accept “Ignition”
• Kill Supervisor Lugwizzle and loot the Ignition Key (56,8)
• Turn in “Ignition” and accept “Escape”
• Escort Wizzlecrank from the Venture Co. Site

NOTE: This is the first escort quest in the game – get used to them. They will appear often. Kill as many mobs as you can before starting and only attack mobs when they’ve attacked whomever you are escorting to ensure they don’t continue to move away from you and aggro even more mobs!

10. Return to the Site and kill Venture Co. Mobs – loot the Cats Eye Emerald (62,6)

11. Travel to Ratchet and talk to Sputtervalve, Mebok Mizzyrix, Wharfmaster Dizzywig (62,38)

• Turn in “Samophlange” 4 and “The Escape”
• Accept “Ziz Fizziks”
• Turn in “Raptor’s Horns”
• Turn in “Miner’s Fortune”

12. Travel southwest and kill Centaurs until one summons Verog the Dervish (55,41)

• Kill Verog the Dervish – loot his head
• Don’t just grind; Verog could appear at any time

13. Travel to the water at (56,43)

• Swim to the bubbles; click on the Bubbling Fissure to test the Dried Seeds

14. Return to Crossroads and talk to Sergra Darkthorn, Darsok Swiftdagger, and Runetotem (52,31)

• Turn in “Prowlers of the Barrens” and accept “Echeyakee”
• Turn in “Harpy Lieutenants” and accept “Serena Bloodfeather”
• Turn in “The Stagnant Oasis” and accept “Altered Beings”

15. Summon Echeyakee with the Horn of Echeyakee (56,17)

• Kill him and loot his hide

16. Talk to Kadrak (48,5)

• Turn in “Report to Kadrak”

17. Kill Serena Bloodfeather – loot his head (40,12)

18. Return to the Crossroads and talk to Darsok Swiftdagger and Sergra Darkthorn (52,31)

• Turn in “Serena Bloodfeather” and accept “Letter to Jin’Zil”
• Turn in “Echeyakee” and accept “The Angry Scytheclaws”

19. Kill Snapjaws and loot 8 Altered Snapjaw Shells (55,43)

20. Kill Raptors and loot 3 Sunscale Feathers (52,46)

• Click on the Blue, Yellow, and Red Raptors Nests

21. Go to the chest of Stolen Silver (58,54)

• Kill one mob at a time up the path

22. Kill 12 Bristleback Thornweavers, 12 Bristleback Geomancers, and 6 Bristleback Water Seekers (54,52)

• Loot 60 Tusks and 1 Blood Shard

23. Talk to Mangletooth (45,59)

• Turn in “Tribes at War” and accept “Blood Shards of Agamaggan” (immediately turn in with Blood Shard from step 26)
• Accept “Betrayal from Within”

You need to be at or near level 20 now. If you are not yet Level 20, grind a bit to complete the leveling or complete one of the instances available to you at this level (with a group)

24. Talk to Gazrog, Sergra Darkthorn, Mankrik, and Tonga Runetotem (52,31)

• Turn in “Stolen Silver”
• Turn in “The Angry Scytheclaws” and accept “Jorn Skyseer”
• Turn in “Consumed by Hatred”
• Turn in “Altered Beings” and accept “Hamuul Runetotem”

25. Fly to Orgrimmar
