Note: The Badlands is a sprawling zone with many nooks and crannies. When exploring, be sure to go all the way down into the corner for the Lethlor Ravine credit, and then up, almost to the doors of the Angor Fortress. The only other rough spot to beware of is Kargath, where Alliance players may need to exercise extra caution due to the roaming Horde NPCs.

Map and Guide to Exploring Badlands

The Badlands is a vast, sprawling World of Warcraft zone that is used by many players to level up their characters in the mid level 40 range. Most players will therefore have explored a good portion of the zone already, however, those who need to complete the Explore Badlands achievement will find that there are a few nooks and crannies that can be hard to get to.

To start with, you will likely come down through The Maker’s Terrace (48,8), past Uldaman, into the zone. From there, travel south and then east to get credit for Camp Kosh (67,21), and then slightly south to Dustwind Gulch (63,31). Loop around the top of the nearest pillar – going straight west – and you will receive credit for Hammertoe’s Digsite (51,31), followed by Angor Fortress (42,29) which is located just west of there. Be careful here that you don’t get attacked by the roaming mobs.

As you continue to explore Badlands, travel southeast to Lethlor’s Ravine (73,66), then Camp Boff (61,70) and Agmond’s End (52,71). You will go straight north from here to the Valley of Fangs (44,53), then directly west to the Dustbowl (39,49).

For your final loop, go south to the Mirage Flats (30,65), then southwest until you reach Camp Cagg (10,83). Go north from here to the Apocryphan’s Rest (15,64), where you will find a number of vulture mobs, and then finish up in Kargath (8,42), where Alliance characters should watch their backs.

If you do it right, it should all take between 15 and 30 minutes to properly explore the zone and obtain the Explore Badlands WoW achievement.
